An extended version of the familiar MCT (caprylic/capric triglyceride) – myristic and stearic fatty acids are added to the medium-chain ones. Gives a more occlusive emollient with a heavier feel. Used in rich creams, balms, nourishing masks. Non-comedogenic in formulation.
Topical application
BLimited evidence. One RCT or several controlled studies with limitations.
Functional emollient. Triglyceride safety confirmed by CIR. Reduces TEWL through physical occlusion.
Caprylic/Capric/Myristic/Stearic Triglyceride is an extended version of the familiar medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). Myristic (C14) and stearic (C18) fatty acids are added to the C8 and C10 chains. The result is a heavier, more occlusive emollient with a richer feel. Produced by hydrogenation and trans-esterification of coconut or palm kernel oil with longer fatty acids added. A pure INCI component with no allergens or parabens. Where applied. Rich creams for dry skin and winter care, nourishing masks, lip and cuticle balms, solid sticks and lipsticks. In Spain it appears in repair formulas like Bioderma Atoderm Intensive, Eucerin AtopiControl, ISDIN Nutratopic. Evidence base. Direct clinical RCTs on this specific mix are scarce; safety data come from related MCTs and stearic acid. The 2020 CIR review of fatty-acid triglycerides confirms safety across the group. Occlusive effect is lower than petrolatum but higher than light C8-C10 MCT. Safety. CIR – safe at use concentrations (up to 50% leave-on). Non-comedogenic in formulation, non-sensitizing. Suitable for sensitive and atopic skin. Pregnancy and lactation – safe. Acceptable at any stage, including areas contacting the infant during breastfeeding (breasts, hands). Suitable for. Dry, atopic, weather-damaged skin, winter routines, post-procedure care. Oily and combination skin – use with caution: the texture can feel heavy.

The Evigrade extension adds an evidence panel to Wildberries, Goldapple, Letu, iHerb, Sephora and 12 more stores. This ingredient and every other one in the product show evidence-tier, allergen risk and pregnancy/lactation flags at a glance.
Caprylic/Capric/Myristic/Stearic Triglyceride is considered safe during pregnancy at typical cosmetic concentrations. Systemic absorption through the skin is minimal.
