Faex Extract is a yeast extract, a source of amino acids, beta-glucans and trace elements. Its INCI is Faex Extract. In a formula it helps calm and support the skin and adds a feeling of comfort. Yeast beta-glucans have a reasonable basis as soothers and surface reinforcers: they form a light film and reduce reactivity. It is a good supporting ingredient, more soothing than transforming; it does not correct wrinkles or pigment on its own. Topically it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good and irritation and allergy risk are low. It suits sensitive skin. People with a known yeast sensitivity should check the list, though topical reactions are uncommon.
