Contains linoleic acid (60-70%), oleic (15-20%), palmitic, and stearic. Additionally: tocopherols, OPC proanthocyanidins. Where applied. Creams for oily and combination skin, light body lotions, hair products, massage oils, masks. In Spain popular in Mediterranean cosmetics (Provital, Mádara). Evidence base. OPC proanthocyanidins are antioxidants; topical data are limited. Safety. CIR confirmed safety. Comedogenicity 2/5 – mostly tolerated by acne patients, but in closed comedone tendency formulas are chosen with care. Cross-reactivity possible in patients allergic to grape (rare).
