About this ingredient
Lactococcus Ferment Lysate is a postbiotic ingredient: cultivated Lactococcus lactis lactic acid bacteria disrupted by ultrasound or enzymes. Inside – cellular peptides, DNA fragments and metabolites. Mechanism. In keratinocyte culture the lysate reduces NF-κB expression and pro-inflammatory cytokines (Roudsari 2015). Claimed effect – skin microbiome support and reduced reactivity in dysbiosis. Where applied. K-beauty recovery lines (Aestura Atobarrier, Manyo Factory Galactomy), select European sensitive lines. Concentrations 0.5–3%. Evidence base. Clinical data are limited: small pilot studies in 20–40 atopy patients showed moderate barrier improvement over 4–8 weeks. Dermatology guidelines do not include this ingredient. Pregnancy and lactation – safe by composition (no live microorganisms), but direct clinical data in pregnancy are absent.
