Raw-material suppliers offer it mainly for eyelash and eyebrow care, and it also appears in products for the skin around the eyes. Suppliers link the peptide to thicker, longer lashes and, in skin care, to firmness and density. There are no published studies of this peptide in cell cultures, on skin or on lashes. All these claims come from suppliers and have no peer-reviewed data behind them. It is unknown whether the peptide passes through the stratum corneum or reaches the hair follicle. How it might affect hair growth has not been studied either, and no effective concentration has been published.
