Sebacic acid (INCI Sebacic Acid) is a dicarboxylic acid that plays a dual technical role in cosmetics: it helps regulate the formula's acidity and serves as a building block for emollient esters and other derivatives. It is a functional component, not a skincare active. In the finished product its effect is limited to formula chemistry. It does not treat the skin directly, and you will not feel anything attributable to it alone. During pregnancy and breastfeeding it is fine to use. At cosmetic concentrations, applied topically, it has no systemic relevance. Tolerance is good: low irritation and low allergy potential, suitable for sensitive skin. An individual reaction is possible but uncommon.
