A nourishing plant butter. Safe.
Cupuacu butter is obtained from the seeds of Theobroma grandiflorum, a relative of cacao. INCI: Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter. It is a rich plant butter, high in fatty acids and phytosterols, with a strong ability to hold water. In a formula it works as an emollient and barrier-support component: it softens, nourishes, reduces water loss, and gives creams a firm enveloping texture. It makes sense for dry and dehydrated skin. Its standalone clinical effect is modest; the main role is emollient and barrier support. Pregnancy safety. Topical use is systemically negligible, with no evidence of harm. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Tolerance. Irritation and allergen potential are low, suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
