Shorea Stenoptera Seed Butter is a dense plant butter, known as illipe butter. Its INCI is Shorea Stenoptera Seed Butter. It nourishes and softens the skin and supplies fatty acids that support the skin barrier. As an emollient and barrier support it works well: it fills surface microcracks, lowers water loss and leaves skin more supple. It does not rebuild skin structure; its value lies in nourishment and comfort, especially on dry skin. Applied topically it poses no systemic risk, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is high and allergy is uncommon. Comedogenicity is moderate (around 2), so on oily or acne-prone skin it is best used sparingly while watching the response.
