Tribehenin PEG-20 Esters (INCI: Tribehenin PEG-20 Esters) are an emollient and co-emulsifier. In a formula they soften the skin, improve slip and help stabilize the creamy texture of emulsions. It combines two functional roles: a supporting emollient and support for product structure. It is not an active that corrects wrinkles or pigmentation; its value lies in comfort and formula stability. Topically its systemic relevance is negligible, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding without restriction. Tolerance is good. Irritation and allergy potential are low, suitable for sensitive skin. Comedogenicity is very low (1 out of 5), so it is rarely a problem, even on combination or oil-prone skin.
