This is a functional texture and emulsion component, not an active. It improves feel and product stability without any direct action on wrinkles or pigmentation. Its contribution is real but structural. Fatty alcohols and their esters have no meaningful systemic absorption when applied topically, so use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is fine. Tolerance is good, with low irritation and allergy risk, suitable for sensitive skin. Comedogenicity is low (1), so on oily or acne-prone skin the risk is small, though very acne-reactive skin is worth watching.
