A nourishing plant extract. Safe.
Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract (INCI: Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract) comes from the seed of the African baobab tree and provides lipids, fatty acids and nourishing compounds. In a formula it acts as an emollient and conditioner: it nourishes, softens and helps support the skin barrier. On efficacy it is a solid supporting component for nourishment and hydration, especially on dry skin. It is not a corrective active for pigmentation or wrinkles; its role is skin comfort and softness. In pregnancy and breastfeeding it can be used without restriction topically, with no systemic impact. Tolerance is good, with low irritation and allergy potential, sensitive skin included. Being a seed extract, an already sensitized person could react, though usually they do not.
