In cosmetics it is used for a surface toning effect: it gives a fresh feel and goes into eye-area products, gels, and formulas aiming for instant radiance. As an active it is supporting. Topical caffeine briefly reduces the look of puffiness through a vasoconstrictive action, but the effect is mild and short-lived. Do not expect structural change; its value is cosmetic and immediate, not a foundational treatment. For topical use the systemic caffeine contribution is negligible. It can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding without practical concern. Tolerance is good, with low irritation and allergy potential, suitable for sensitive skin.
