Hydrolyzed Soy Flour is a product of breaking down soy proteins into smaller fragments, amino acids, and peptides. INCI: Hydrolyzed Soy Flour. In a formula it works as a conditioning and moisturizing component: it forms a thin film on skin, holds water, and gives a feel of smoothness and temporary tightening. It is a supporting component with a sensory effect rather than a potent active. Pregnancy safety. Topical use is systemically negligible, with no evidence of harm. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Tolerance. Irritation potential is low. With a marked soy allergy the component is introduced with caution, although hydrolysis lowers the protein's allergenicity.
