Tocopheryl nicotinate (INCI: Tocopheryl Nicotinate) is an ester that joins vitamin E and nicotinic acid (niacin). On the skin it releases gradually to deliver both parts: vitamin E as an antioxidant that protects lipids, and the niacin fraction linked to tone and skin microcirculation. It appears in anti-aging creams and repair formulas. As an active it has a reasonable base. Vitamin E is a well-documented antioxidant and niacin derivatives have support for barrier and radiance, though the specific evidence for this particular ester is more limited than for each vitamin on its own. It works as a good supporting antioxidant. For topical use there is no relevant systemic risk. It can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good, with low irritation and allergy potential. It is not noted as comedogenic or drying.
