Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate is a water-soluble form of vitamin E: tocopherol joined to a phosphate group. INCI: Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate. The phosphate part makes fat-soluble vitamin E compatible with water-based formulas and more stable against oxidation. On skin, the enzyme phosphatase gradually releases tocopherol, an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals. This form has data for a mild anti-inflammatory action. In essence it is a stabilized carrier of vitamin E with antioxidant potential, a supporting component rather than a lead active with a large clinical base. Pregnancy safety. Topical use, low systemic absorption, no evidence of harm. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Tolerance. Irritation and allergen potential are low.
