Hyaluronic acid with acetyl groups on the molecule. Acetylation adds lipophilicity, improves skin affinity and extends moisture retention versus the regular form.
Topical application
BLimited evidence. One RCT or several controlled studies with limitations.
Modified HA with improved substantivity. Direct head-to-head studies versus regular HA are limited to supplier data.
Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid with acetyl groups attached at the hydroxyls of the sugar rings. The modification lowers hydrophilicity and adds lipophilicity. Mechanism. Versus regular HA, the acetylated form integrates better into the stratum corneum lipid matrix – holds water longer and does not wash off as quickly on first water contact. Affinity for skin keratins is higher, so the film stays stable for 4–8 hours after application (Yoneda 2008, in vitro). Where applied. Long-hydration serums (0.1–1%), masks, primer creams, eye-area products. In Spain: Sesderma Hidraderm, Martiderm Hydra+, Endocare Hydractive. Evidence base. Manufacturer Kewpie Corp (Japan) and independent in vitro studies show water retention 1.5–2× higher than for regular HA of the same molecular weight. Few direct clinical RCTs. Safety. CIR confirmed safety of HA derivatives in 2009. Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, non-irritating. Systemic absorption is minimal. Pregnancy and lactation – safe. Acceptable at any stage on the face, breast, abdomen. Particularly suitable for. Dry, dehydrated skin in air-conditioned rooms, under makeup, and during low-humidity travel (planes, hotels, offices). An alternative to classic HA when you feel tightness 1–2 hours after application.

The Evigrade extension adds an evidence panel to Wildberries, Goldapple, Letu, iHerb, Sephora and 12 more stores. This ingredient and every other one in the product show evidence-tier, allergen risk and pregnancy/lactation flags at a glance.
Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate is considered safe during pregnancy at typical cosmetic concentrations. Systemic absorption through the skin is minimal.
Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate suits: normal, dry, oily, combination, sensitive.
