Updated version of the Argireline peptide. Marketing promises a reduction of expression wrinkles «like botox», but clinical effects are much more modest.
Topical application
DVery weak or conflicting data.
The peptide is too large for effective penetration through the stratum corneum. Manufacturer studies show slight relief smoothing; independent RCTs reproduce the result poorly.
Acetyl Hexapeptide-37 (trade name Argireline XL by Lipotec) is an updated version of classic Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8). The manufacturer claims improved SNAP-25 affinity and a longer-lasting effect. Claimed mechanism. Like its predecessor – competes with endogenous SNAP-25 for SNARE-complex assembly at the presynaptic neuromuscular membrane. Theoretically blocks acetylcholine release and facial muscle contraction. In practice, efficacy is limited by poor epidermal penetration of large peptides. Where applied. Anti-aging serums and creams for expression lines (5–10%). Brands: Sesderma Fillderma Lips, Mesoestetic Stem Cell Active, Martiderm. Evidence base. Manufacturer marketing claims up to 30% wrinkle depth reduction in 28 days. No independent clinical RCTs with endpoints. By extrapolation from Argireline (AHA-8), the effect is modest and substantially weaker than botulinum therapy. Safety. Hypoallergenic, non-irritating, non-comedogenic. Topical systemic absorption is minimal. Pregnancy and lactation – no data. Spanish gynecologists (SEGO 2023) recommend avoiding 'botox-mimic' actives in pregnancy as a precaution. Realistic take. A marketing iteration of Argireline. Not 'botox in a jar'. Use as part of a multi-active anti-aging serum, not alone.

The Evigrade extension adds an evidence panel to Wildberries, Goldapple, Letu, iHerb, Sephora and 12 more stores. This ingredient and every other one in the product show evidence-tier, allergen risk and pregnancy/lactation flags at a glance.
Safety data for Acetyl Hexapeptide-37 during pregnancy is insufficient. Best avoided when in doubt.
Acetyl Hexapeptide-37 suits: oily, dry, combination, normal.
