Glyceryl ascorbate (INCI: Glyceryl Ascorbate) is a water-soluble vitamin C derivative, with the ascorbate molecule linked to glycerol. This form is more stable than pure ascorbic acid and delivers both antioxidant defense and hydration, thanks to the glycerol part. On efficacy, vitamin C derivatives work as supporting antioxidants, though their brightening action is usually gentler than well-formulated L-ascorbic acid. It fits an antioxidant and hydrating routine, without promising strong brightening on its own. Applied topically it has no systemic significance, so it can be used in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good. Irritation and allergy potential are low, and its mild profile makes it suitable for sensitive skin. Like any vitamin C, the product is best kept tightly closed so it stays stable.
