Ceramide EOS (INCI identical) is a ceramide, one of the lipids native to the stratum corneum. In formulas it works on barrier repair: it helps rebuild the lipid cement between cells, holds water and reduces dryness and tightness. On efficacy, ceramides have a solid basis. Replenishing lipids identical to the skin's genuinely supports barrier function, especially in dry or compromised skin. This is not empty marketing: it is a skincare active consistent with skin physiology, and it works more strongly alongside cholesterol and fatty acids. Topically it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is excellent: low irritation and allergy potential, a good choice for sensitive and reactive skin. Comedogenicity is minimal (1 of 5), comfortable even on combination skin.
