BLimited evidence. One RCT or several controlled studies with limitations.
An antioxidant component. Safe; data limited.
Oxidized glutathione (INCI: Oxidized Glutathione) is the oxidized form of the tripeptide glutathione, an antioxidant molecule naturally present in cells. In cosmetics it is added with the idea of supporting defence against oxidative stress. Here the assessment has to be honest. The manufacturer links it to the skin's antioxidant protection, but data on topical use are scarce, and the existing skin-tone results mostly come from the reduced form and non-topical routes. As a topical active its backing is modest: it counts as a support ingredient, not one with a proven effect. Topically it has no systemic relevance, so it can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good, with low irritation and allergy potential. It suits sensitive skin.
