Synthetic Beeswax is a lab-made thickening wax that reproduces the composition of beeswax without traces of pollen or propolis. It gives structure to sticks, balms, and creams, and softens skin by forming a flexible layer. This is a functional component, not an active. Its role is in consistency and stability: it helps the product hold its shape and improves feel. It does not correct skin signs. It stays at the surface with no meaningful systemic absorption, so it is compatible with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tolerance is good, with low irritation potential and low allergy risk. One advantage over natural wax is that, free of pollen and propolis residues, it lowers the chance of reactions in people sensitive to those bee-derived components. Comedogenicity is low (1).
