Albatrellus Confluens (Mushroom) Extract (INCI: Albatrellus Confluens Extract) is drawn from a fungus and provides polysaccharides and antioxidant compounds. In a formula it supports a calmer feel and helps retain water in the upper skin layer. On efficacy this is a supporting component. Human skin evidence is thin, and fungal polysaccharides are usually described by their potential rather than strong clinical results. It adds gentle hydration and comfort without promising visible change on its own. During pregnancy and breastfeeding topical use raises no issues, since it has no meaningful systemic relevance. Tolerance is high: low irritation and low allergy risk, fitting for sensitive skin. People with a prior sensitivity to fungi might see an isolated reaction, but that is uncommon.
