Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract (INCI: Vaccinium Angustifolium Fruit Extract) comes from the berry and provides anthocyanins and other polyphenols with antioxidant action. In a formula it helps neutralize free radicals and support the skin's defenses against environmental stress. On efficacy, plant antioxidants like this make sense as a complement. Test-tube antioxidant capacity is real, but translating that into visible skin benefit depends heavily on concentration and formula. It is good support, not a primary anti-aging active with guaranteed results. In pregnancy and breastfeeding topical use is fine, with no systemic impact. Tolerance is good: low irritation and allergy potential, fine for sensitive skin. Being a fruit extract, a sensitized person could react, though usually they do not.
